Templeton Freedom Award – 2012

India Institute received the Templeton Freedom Award in 2012 for The Private School Revolution in Bihar, awarded by the Atlas Network to organizations making outstanding contributions to research that advances individual freedom and institutional accountability. This was a special achievement prize that recognized our innovative use of GIS to study private school prevalence in a tier-II city.

Think Tank Shark Tank – Global Winner 2014

India Institute was the global winner of Think Tank Shark Tank in 2014 – an international competition identifying and supporting the most promising and pioneering ideas ideas from think tanks in the world. We were recognized for i-torney our legal-aid app idea.
